The OnwardU half-day media training was invaluable in training our executive committee to serve as expert spokespersons for our industry. The carefully-tailored session provided us with in-depth knowledge of how the media works and gave us the skills and confidence we need to be effective when conducting on-air media interviews. In fact, we were so impressed with the training we are now offering it to our entire association membership.

The greatest takeaway, for me, was understanding the meaning of a message can drastically change by the words we use. Additionally, if all leaders consistently have this common use of the language, it is critical to the path of changing the culture in our company.

When we started the workshop we were a group of individuals that did not think we controlled our destiny, when we finished the workshop we were a team that believed we control our destiny. We moved from I to we.

The part of the training that helped me most was truly understanding what our brand promise is and how to live this 100% of the time, under all circumstances and with all people.

This has been a good compliment to the initial leadership training, and the individual coaching has been very helpful. It allowed me to discuss actual issues that I am confronted with, and presented me with a different perspective with a focus on accountability.
